For his third residency at Zilker Brewing, Gerardo Rodríguez presents a new collection of “old” art: MONSTER THRIFT SHOP featuring a series of his popular thrift store makeovers. After scouring the art sections of resale and thrift stores around Austin, each hand-selected piece received a monster-y upgrade. Gerardo’s added imagination, colors, and iconic creatures have given new life to forgotten and timeworn pieces– a reminder of how a little love, creative expression, and giving something a chance can transform us all.
